We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord's Table as God has welcomed us.
The First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Winchester, Kentucky is united under the central confession that “Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God” and our membership is comprised of those who have accepted him as their personal Savior and Lord. Allowing these beliefs to shape us and guide our every thought and action is our continuing quest.
We believe that The Lord’s Supper (Communion) is a central, visible symbol of God’s saving action in Christ as well as conveying the gracious, forgiving presence of Christ in a special way. We observe it each Sunday morning as well as on other occasions and invite all Christians to join us in its observance as we gather.
